Dates: TBD, Spring 2019
Canʻt reach all the fruit on your ‘ulu tree? Prune it! This common practice with other orchard crops is especially important for ‘ulu, which can grow 60+ feet if left unattended and has easy-to-break branches, making climbing unsafe. This workshop will cover pruning best practices for ‘ulu including when, how, and why to prune your tree, highlighting techniques used on different varieties, ages and purposes. Participants will receive a copy of HUCʻs forthcoming ‘ulu pruning handbook as part of their registration.
