Pala‘ai (Squash)

Our pala'ai is made recipe-ready for your convenience in the kitchen – providing farm-fresh and pre-washed, chopped, steamed and frozen squash chunks packed in resealable 5-pound bags that are ready to go when you need 'em! 

Heirloom, Hawai‘i-grown winter squash or pumpkin (palaʻai) is sweet and nutty, rich in vitamins and nutrients, and delicious roasted, grilled, in stews and stir-fries, or puréed in mashes, soups, pies, and desserts!

Many of our small, family farmers grow a mix of sweet, tender Japanese squash varieties as a sustainable ground cover between their ‘ulu trees. Our winter squash has an edible forest-green rind and bright orange flesh that adds color and flavor to both sweet and savory dishes.
