Box purchase includes exclusive access to a Pūpū Cooking Demonstration on Friday June 25, 2021 from 5-6pm via zoom, where you will learn how to create an authentic pau hana pūpū platter for 4 featuring:

  • Kalo Poke – By far one of Chef Kealoha’s most requested dishes. A combination of traditional Hawaiian style poke flavors with the wholesome flavor and texture of Hawai’i-grown taro. Vegan friendly but loved by all (contains nuts).
  • Hawaiʻi Island sweet potato chips produced by Hawaiʻi’s original chip company, Atebara’s in Hilo.
  • Hawai‘i ‘Ulu Cooperative’s ‘Ulu ‘Inamona Macnut Hummus.
  • Kealohaʻs famous smoked marlin dip, made with Hawaiʻi fisherman-direct marlin.
  • Chili pepper water for those finishing touches! 
  • KŌ-jito mocktail/cocktail – What’s an ALOHA Friday without a cold beverage to go along with the food?!  Included in the pūpū box is a pint of cold-pressed Hawaiian sugar cane juice cocktail mix. Muddle fresh mint and spike it up with some Hawaiian agricole rum by KōHana, distilled from native Hawaiian sugarcane varieties (optional add-on; please visit their website for a list of where to purchase).

I liked some of the food, The Taro poke salad was tasty. I’m glad to support your efforts to educate about and provide local food and foodstuffs. Overall I had no idea what was going on and was pretty much in the dark about it until the pkg mysteriously arrived some 5-6 weeks after I purchased it. At that point I just kinda tried out what I could and the rest is still in the freezer. Return communications would have helped, I sent several inquires with no response. Nothing much was clear about what and when you were doing anything. Still, Mahalo for your efforts, hope this helps. David
