ʻUlu Ambassador: Kona Community Hospital Dietary Services

Kona Community Hospital’s Dietary Services Department and Ginger Café prides itself on the use of fresh and local food to nourish both the patients and employees working at Kona Community Hospital.

The Hospital has partnered with the Hawaii ‘Ulu Co-Op and Chef Hui program to further the vision of the return of sustainable food practices to Hawaii. 


Kona Community Hospital (KCH) Dietary Department and Ginger Café are both Blue Zone certified. The Ginger Café is committed to supporting our local farmers and prides itself on the use of fresh and local food to nourish both the employees and patients at KCH. 

Each month, the menu is reviewed to include fresh, seasonal, local produce and proteins that appeal to our clientele.
