We couldnʻt build Hawaiʻiʻs breadfruit industry without the support of passionate dedicated chefs and educators who champion the use of ʻulu in both traditional and contemporary ways.

Watch two of our ʻulu ambassadors, Chef Mark "Gooch" Noguchi and Kealoha Domingo, talk story about why they loveʻulu and share some of their favorite ways to prepare it.

The ʻUlu Ambassador program was created, in partnership with Chef Hui, to build an influential network of chefs, educators, farmers, nutritionists, and other food-loving community supporters that endorses ʻulu and other staple crops important to Hawaiian culture and the future of Hawaiʻis food system. We aim to create positive change in our local food culture by inspiring Hawaii residents to eat more locally-grown ingredients.
