A delicious and hearty vegan take on poke! The perfect pupu for a BBQ or potluck. Dress kalo up with this ʻono recipe and watch everyone come back for seconds!
Ingredients
- 5lb bag of kalo dices
- 1 Small Maui Onion, diced
- 1 Bunch of green onions, diced
- 2/3 cup Oyster sauce
- ¼ cup Shoyu/ Soy Sauce
- ¼ cup Sesame oil
- 1 tsp Chili pepper paste
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds/Furikake
Directions
- Defrost frozen kalo overnight in refrigerator (you can speed up the defrost in microwave or by steaming, but beware that some of the cubes will break apart)
- Mix onions, oyster sauce, shoyu/soy sauce, sesame oil, chili pepper paste in a small bowl. Whisk thoroughly together.
- Pour mixture over kalo dices and sprinkle green onions and sesame seeds/Furikake over top. Mix everything together.
