An easy & delicious meal made with kalo (taro), one of Hawai’i’s cultural crops. This crispy kalo hash with prime rib is a recipe your ‘ohana is sure to love.

Ingredients

3 cups kalo (peeled and fully cooked), cubed

1 medium onion diced

Extra virgin olive oil
-
4 cups cooked prime rib, cubed (or any protein of choice)

1 tsp of salt

4-6 farm fresh eggs
-
Salt, pepper, seasonings
Directions
Sauté onions in oil until caramelized
Add taro and cook until desired crispness
Add prime rib and cook until desired crispiness
Remove food from heat and place into a bowl
In the same pan, fry eggs sunny side up in the remaining oil for 3 minutes and season with salt, pepper and spices. Add eggs on top of the taro, prime rib and onions hash.
