Okinawan purple sweet potatoes are a powerhouse of antioxidants. A great replacement starch option for every local style plate. This recipe was developed by L&L Kihei using the co-op's 5 lb bags of recipe-ready ‘uala.

Ingredients

One 5lb bag ‘Uala

24oz water
-
2oz Saimin base

1Tbsp garlic powder

1Tbsp Black pepper

¼ lb Salted butter crumbled
Directions
Whisk together water with Saimin base and spices.
Add the broth to the potatoes and crumbled butter and gently mix till liquid is absorbed.
Place in a metal insert and steam till internal temp is 160 degrees.
Keep in warmer to serve.
