Mochi is a delicious dessert, that brings that amazing "Q factor" texture to the table. This recipe uses ʻulu (breadftuit) flour & Hawaiʻi-grown apple bananas.

Ingredients

1 cup Mochiko (sweet rice flour)

1/2 cup ʻulu flour

1½ cup water

¾ cup sugar

½ Tbsp natural banana flavoring

3-4 Hawaiʻi-grown apple bananas
Directions
Mix Mochiko flour, ʻulu flour, and sugar together. And in water, and mix well until smooth. Add in banana flavoring, mix well.
Lightly brush the plate with oil, then pour the batter into a plate. Steam under high heat for 20 minutes.
For roll- remove parchment and roll it into long roll and cut into small pieces. Sprinkle some mochiko/ulu flour mix on a table, place the dough on top and coat. Place a parchment paper on top and roll it flat. Remove parchment and roll it into long roll and cut into small pieces.
For Daifuku- cut dough into equal peaces, and roll into circles. Place one cut segment of apple banana in the center and pinch dough around banana until sealed.
