Order ‘Ulu Trees!
Welcome to the tree ordering page. We are currently offering the varieties listed below.
Before placing an order, please review the following:
- Tree pick up is available only at our Honalo Marshalling Yard located in Kailua-Kona at this time.
- Pick up days are scheduled on 2nd and 3rd Fridays of the month from 8am to 1pm. (upcoming days: 5/9, 5/16, 6/13, 6/20).
- If you cannot arrange to pick up your trees within 2 pick up weeks after ordering, it be cancelled and refunded.
- Please bring a large enough vehicle and a tarp to cover your trees during transport.

Maoli (“Hawaiian”) - The original variety brought to Hawai‘i (known as ‘Ulu Maori in other parts of Oceania), Hawaiian breadfruit or ‘ulu is seedless, dense, and firm with a starchy texture, making it ideal for fries, chips, and au gratin dishes, or for cooking the traditional way: roasted right in the fire!
Maʻafala - This Samoan variety is easily recognized by its leaves which, compared to other common varieties, are much less segmented. The fruit is large, seedless and yellow in color.
Otea - Originally from French Polynesia, this variety is round and firm with a similar taste and texture to Hawaiian ‘ulu. Check out the National Tropical Botanical Garden’s Otea Factsheet to learn more about this variety.
