While cooking, I didn’t expect much because I couldn’t imagine what the “poke” flavor would taste like using ’ulu instead of fish. However, once I tried the finished product, I was pleasantly surprised. All ingredients contributed to the overall “poke” flavor, but I must say that the sesame oil was the catalyst that brought the flavor together. I would definitely make this dish again!
