Polynesian Style Cassava Hashbrowns

Ingredients

  • 1lb cassava, shredded

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Cooking oil

Directions

  1. Make thin hand sized patties. Salt and pepper the patties to taste.

  2. Over medium high heat, fill the pan with a thin layer of oil, so the oil fully coats the pan.

  3. Once the oil is hot, gently place the patties in to the pan.

  4. Fry the patties until golden brown in color, adding more oil as needed, or desired.

  5. Let cool on a paper towel and serve.

  • Sounds delicious! Is the cassava precooked? If not, is there a minimum cook time? Concerned about making sure the cyanide is cooked out.
