Traditional homemade tortillas made with breadfruit flour recipe. An incredible pair with Bill's Award-winning Green Chili (see recipe in main dish collection). These tortillas are made for dipping and stuffing; pull apart a piece of tortilla and enjoy scooping up a delicious sauce or soup.
Orlinda Lucero

Ingredients
2 cups white or wheat flour
⅓ cup ‘ulu flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
⅓ cup shortening or oil
warm water
Directions
Mix flours, baking powder and salt.
Add shortening or oil and work together until it is well blended.
Add warm water (it must be warm).
Finish mixing into a pliable dough.
Knead the dough into 12 balls, roll out with a rolling pin until about 6 inches in diameter.
Cook on a dry un-greased griddle over medium heat. Let one side turn evenly brown, flip and cook the other side the same.
To keep your tortillas soft and warm, wrap them in a clean tea towel as they are taken off the griddle.
